Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues while playing on the ProtectorsCraft network, try the following troubleshooting steps for each specific server or feature:

General Connection Issues

  • Check that your Minecraft version matches the server's version. ProtectorsCraft runs on versions 1.16 - 1.21 and supports both Java and Bedrock editions.

  • Verify that you have a stable internet connection. You can test your connection by visiting a website or running a speed test.

  • Ensure that the server is online and not undergoing maintenance. Check our Discord server or website for any announcements regarding server status.

  • If you're using a firewall or antivirus software, add Minecraft and ProtectorsCraft to the allowed list or temporarily disable the firewall/antivirus to test if it's causing the issue.

  • Try connecting to the server using a different network (mobile data instead of Wi-Fi) to isolate potential network-related problems.

Survival Server

  • If you're unable to claim land, ensure you have enough claim blocks. You can check your available claim blocks using /claimlist.

  • Verify that the area you're trying to claim doesn't overlap with another player's claim or a restricted area (e.g., spawn, warps, event areas).

  • If you've recently purchased claim blocks and they haven't been added to your account, try relogging or contacting a staff member for assistance.

Custom Enchantment Issues

  • Double-check that you have the required materials and XP levels to apply the enchantment.

  • Verify that the enchantment is compatible with the item you're trying to enchant.

  • If the enchantment isn't working as expected, try removing and reapplying it using /ce.

  • Check that you haven't exceeded the maximum number of custom enchantments on the item (default is 6, up to 8 with slot upgrades).

Prison Server

Mine and Rankup Problems

  • Ensure you're in the correct mine for your current rank. You can check your rank using /ranks.

  • If you're unable to rankup, verify that you have enough money. Use /balance to check your balance and /rankup to see the cost of the next rank.

  • If you believe you have enough money but still can't rankup, contact a staff member for assistance.

Gang and PvP Issues

  • Make sure you've been invited to and have accepted a gang invitation before attempting to access gang features.

  • If you're unable to join a PvP event or arena, check that you meet the requirements (e.g., minimum rank, entry fee).

  • If you encounter a bug or exploit during PvP, report it to staff immediately using /report.

Gens Server

Generator Problems

  • Make sure you've placed the generator on your plot and not in a public area or another player's plot.

  • Check that the generator is powered correctly and has space around it for items to spawn.

  • Verify that you're within the range of your generator. You need to be within a certain block radius for the generator to function.

  • If the generator appears to be working but you're not receiving items, ensure your inventory isn't full.

Prestige and Booster Issues

  • If you're unable to prestige, ensure you've reached the maximum generator tier and have enough in-game money.

  • Check that any purchased boosters are still active. You can view your active boosters in the server store or by using /boosters.

  • If a booster isn't working as expected, try relogging or contacting a staff member for assistance.

Creative Server

Plot and WorldEdit Problems

  • Verify that you're building within your allocated plot and not in a public area or another player's plot.

  • If WorldEdit commands aren't working, ensure you have the appropriate permissions for your rank.

  • Check that you're using the correct syntax for WorldEdit commands. You can find a list of commands and their usage on the official WorldEdit wiki.

Performance and Lag Issues

  • Minimize the number of entities (e.g., items, mobs) in your area by clearing drops and using spawners responsibly.

  • Avoid using excessive redstone or creating complex redstone machines that can cause lag.

  • If you're experiencing client-side lag, try optimizing your Minecraft settings, updating your graphics drivers, or allocating more RAM to Minecraft.

Discord Integration

Rank Sync Issues

  • Ensure that you've properly linked your Minecraft account with your Discord account using the /discord link command in-game.

  • If your rank hasn't updated on Discord after purchasing a rank upgrade, try unlinking and relinking your account, or contact a staff member for assistance.

Chest Shop Alerts Problems

  • Verify that you've enabled chest shop alerts for your account using /chestshop discord in-game.

  • Check that you have the necessary permissions in the ProtectorsCraft Discord server to receive chest shop alerts.

  • If you're not receiving alerts for a specific shop, ensure that the shop is set up correctly and that you're the owner of the shop.

Store and Purchases

Missing Items or Perks

  • If you haven't received your purchased items or perks, first check that the transaction was successful and your payment was processed.

  • Ensure that you've logged out of the server and logged back in after making a purchase, as some perks may require a relog to take effect.

  • If you've purchased a rank upgrade, verify that the new rank is displayed correctly in-game and in the Discord server (if you've linked your accounts).

  • For any issues with purchases or missing items, contact our support team via Discord ticket or email with your transaction details and Minecraft username.
